For our 2026 gathering, we are excited to bring The Family Narrative to the quintessential Southern California town of Ojai with an inspiring dream team of photographers and creatives brought together to explore their process, mind-altering perspective and their artfully made pivots.

TFN 2026 will take place in Ojai, CA with accommodations at the photogenic Capri Hotel and workshops at an event space in heart of town.

TFN 2025 will bring a combo of a loving kick to your creative tush + a nourishing cleanse for your creative soul - and yes we know how that’s a big promise and we are ready to deliver!
Monday evening through Thursday afternoon will be filled with activities to instruct, inspire, and reignite your creative spark.
We will have group talks and panel discussions, hands-on demos and group activities led by a members of our incredible community. Topics will range from the embodiment of burnout to self portraiture, branding and headshot work to environmental portraits, and more.
Additionally we will host four live sessions in four fun and different ways. Attendees will have the opportunity to watch four photographers at work: a family session on film; a maternity session; self portraiture and headshots.

How much?
*There will be the option to add-on Thursday night (bed sharing will depend on how many people choose to stay Thursday). Staying Thursday Night is an additional fee of $100 and is only available to TFN 2025 ticket holders.
FAQs
What will my ticket to TFN include?
Two full days plus two partial days of hands-on learning, co-working, photographing and inspiring each other in a stunning renovated 120+ year old church in South Philadelphia.
Lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. And of course, our legendary swag.
Attendees are responsible for breakfast and dinner each day.
What will my ticket to TFN cost?
Tickets will range from $1200-$1800 depending on what style of ticket you opt for.
Do I have to pay all at once?
Nope! Tickets will be paid in three equal parts (time of purchase, October 7th and January 13th).
Do I need to book my own accommodations?
Depends! Slumber Party Tickets include a shared room at the Deacon for Monday-Wednesday* nights. Slumber-party ticket holders must be comfortable sharing a room with a friend. Slumber Party tickets are not for light sleepers, loud snorers or folx who need quiet downtime alone at the end of the day; for those friends, we suggested buying a day ticket and booking a nearby hotel or air bnb (we have a special discount code for the Yowie Hotel, which is 1.4 miles from the Deacon).
Day Ticket holders will need to book their own accommodations.

Do I need to rent a car?
Nope! We will be staying in a very walkable neighborhood with many restaurant options nearby and any off-site activities we do will be on foot. If you choose to buy a Day Ticket, you may want a rental car if your hotel isn’t within walking distance to the Deacon, however we have been told that parking in that area can be hard to come by.
Are tickets refundable?
Tickets to TFN 2025 are non-refundable but they are transferable as long as the person you sell it to agrees to our Good Citizen Pledge. If you purchase a ticket and can no longer attend, finding a buyer for your ticket is your responsibility.
