TFN 2027 Retreat:
From March 1–4, 2027, we will be celebrating The Family Narrative’s 10th anniversary with a four-day retreat that balances craft, commerce and creative well-being, in the beloved city where it all began, New Orleans!
We have assembled an incredible team of photography mentors to explore the state of our industry in 2027 and what it means to sustain a successful business photographing families for the long haul while growing as an artist through personal creative practices.

TFN 2027 will take place in New Orleans, Louisiana with accommodations included at the historic and very photogenic Pontchartrain Hotel.

Come for the inspiration, stay for the community, and leave refreshed and ready to take on another year of running your own photography business. Monday evening through Thursday afternoon will be filled with activities designed to instruct, inspire, and reignite your creative spark including writing and art workshops, hands-on photo assignments, live sessions, and of course, keynotes from inspiring people! There will also be plenty of down-time built in to allow you time to absorb and process everything you are learning.

FAQs
What will my ticket to TFN include?
Two full days plus two partial days of hands-on learning, co-working, collaborating, photographing and inspiring each other in New Orleans.
Three nights of accommodations (checking in Monday, March1 - checking out Thursday, March 4) at the Pontchartrain Hotel.
Lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday is also included. And, of course, some top-notch swag from two gals who love to gift!
Attendees are responsible for breakfast and dinner each day.
What will my ticket to TFN cost?
Tickets will cost $2300 or $2600 depending on which room type you choose.
Do I have to pay all at once?
Nope! At checkout you will be able to decide if you’d like to pay in-full or split your payments up into 4 parts billed every 6 weeks.
Do I need to book my own accommodations?
No! Your retreat ticket INCLUDES accommodations at the Pontchartrain Hotel. More details are available on the ticket page here.
Do I need to rent a car?
Nope! Everything we do will be within walking distance of our hotel. And one of the best things you can do in New Orleans is have a conversation with a taxi/Lyft driver.
Are tickets refundable?
Tickets to TFN 2027 are non-refundable but they are transferable as long as the person you sell it to agrees to our Good Citizen Pledge. If you purchase a ticket and can no longer attend, finding a buyer for your ticket is your responsibility.
