  • Gabriella Layne-Avery is a digital storyteller, content marketing specialist & creative director. With nearly a decade of social media experience and a background in journalism and PR, she’s obsessed with helping visionary CEOs work smarter, not harder, to show up on social media with confidence and clarity so they can build their awareness and impact.

Kickstarting her career as a contributing editor for fashion and lifestyle magazines, Gabriella has a penchant for making the complex, often overwhelming nuances of social media feel simple and seamless - a philosophy she’s coined as ‘sustainable social media.’ Credit it to her days of planning quarterly editorial calendars during her journalism era.

She also has a knack for keeping a pulse on what’s up and what’s next to create culturally relevant, timely content that stops the scroll on social media for her clients. She’s used these magic powers to lead the content strategies of leading online communities, including PR Girl Manifesto, Epic Fab Girl, and Black Bride Magazine.

Gabriella is Brooklyn bred and currently living in Long Beach with her wife (whose name is ALSO Gabby - can't make this stuff up!) and her pup Louie. When she isn’t serving clients for her creative studio Strut Communications or guest writing for PLANOLY, you can find her reading a good book, bingeing a new series, or taking (very) long walks around her shoreline city.

  • Cristal (she/her) is a proud Queer Chicana feminist photographer. After getting two higher education degrees, she fell into wedding photography after seeing images of non-traditional couples doing things their own way. Cristal’s business, Cristal Veronica Photos, highlights the lives of LGBTQ folks and BIPOC, communities she is a part of. Cristal’s work has been featured in a few publications including Buzzfeed and Catalyst Wedding Magazine, and she has served as a speaker at The Family Narrative, and the Real Life Conference for women and non-binary photographers in Canada. In June 2019, Cristal received the "Heritage of Pride - Pride Creativity Award” from SF PRIDE. In addition to photography, Cristal has worked in higher education for 20 years. Although she’s not a fan of #KarltheFog, Cristal lives in San Francisco with her wife and rescue pup Magdalena. Cristal loves being a Tia; is always planning future tattoos and passport stamps; wishes Tupac was still alive and making music; and is always craving sushi and donuts.
